You start it in settings, the panel downloads the new version over WiFi, and Android installs it. Your settings and paired devices remain intact. ## What you need - **WiFi:** The panel is connected to a WiFi network. If you update via your smartphone's hotspot, this will use that data volume. - **Power:** The panel stays on until the update is complete. - **Date and time:** Both must be correct on the panel, otherwise it won't find an update. ## Step 1: Open settings Open the side menu using the three lines at the top left. The row is in the "App & Device" group. The panel automatically checks for a new version when you open settings. - If there's an update, the row shows the old and new version. **Install** appears on the right. - If **Check for update** appears on the right, tap it. If the panel finds nothing new, the row shows the installed version and "Last checked". Then your panel is up to date. - Older versions show settings as a list. The button there is also called **Install**. A circle with a percentage appears where the button was: The panel is downloading the new version. This takes a few minutes depending on your WiFi. Keep the panel on and connected to WiFi during this time. If the connection drops, **Install** appears again. On the first update, it says: "For security reasons, you cannot install unknown apps from this source on your phone." This is normal. The REVOTION app can only install updates once you've allowed it. - Tap **Settings**. - ① Turn on **Trust this source**. - ② Tap the **arrow** at the top left. Your previous data will not be lost." Tap **Install**. Tap **Open**. The REVOTION interface starts in the new version. Open **Settings** once more and scroll to **App Update**. Turn it on if you want the panel to download new versions automatically. - The panel will then check at startup and every 24 hours after that to see if there's a new version, and download it without your input. - The Android prompt from step 5 will still appear. Then you install the update once via the browser. After that, updates work again through settings. Tap **WiFi Settings** in the message and connect the panel. - **"Update check failed. Please try again later.":** The panel cannot reach the update server. Check that your WiFi has internet access and that the panel's date and time are correct. Then try again. - **The circle stays still:** The connection is too weak. Move closer to the router or hotspot with the panel and tap **Install** again. - **"App was not installed.":** Tap **Done** and start the update again.
