Set up WiFi on the 4-inch panel (up to version 1.2.13)

Up to app version 1.2.13, you connect your panel to WiFi through Android settings. You can access them via the "Apps" entry in the side menu. This guide shows you the way using the "Camper-WiFi" network as an example.

What you need

A 4-inch panel with app version 1.2.13 or older. You can find the version in the side menu under "Settings" in the "App Update" section.
A WiFi network within range: home WiFi, campground WiFi, or your smartphone's hotspot.
The password for that WiFi network.

Step 1

Open Apps

Open the side menu by tapping the three lines at the top left.

Scroll down and tap Apps.

Step 2

Open Android Settings

The list shows the apps installed on your panel.

Scroll to Settings and tap it. You can find the entry faster using the "App Search" field.

This takes you out of the REVOTION interface and into Android settings.

Step 3

Open "Network & Internet"

Tap Network & Internet.

In the next screen, tap WiFi.

Step 4

Turn on WiFi and select your network

Android searches for networks within range and displays them below the toggle.

① The Use WiFi toggle must be turned on.
② Tap your network, in this example "Camper-WiFi". The lock symbol means a password is required.

Step 5

Enter password

Android asks for the password, and the keyboard appears.

① Enter your WiFi password. Pay attention to uppercase and lowercase letters.
② Tap Connect.

Step 6

Check connection and return

The panel connects. This may take a few seconds.

① Under your network name it says Connected. The WiFi symbol appears in the top right of the status bar.
② Swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen. You're back in the REVOTION interface.

What comes next

The panel remembers the network and connects automatically in the future.
With WiFi, you can update the app. You can see the status in the side menu under Settings in the
From app version 1.2.14 onwards, the panel in settings has a "WiFi" tile. With it, you can switch networks without leaving the REVOTION interface.

If something doesn't work

The panel won't connect: Usually the password is incorrect. Tap your network again and enter the password once more.
Your network is missing from the list: Wait a moment, Android will search automatically. If that doesn't help, move closer to the router or open a hotspot with your smartphone.
Your iPhone's hotspot doesn't appear: On your iPhone, enable the "Maximize Compatibility" option under "Personal Hotspot".
Switch networks: Go the same way again and tap on a different network.
