# Revotion for Home Assistant

**BETA**

Your Revotion system in Home Assistant. Copy the access from the app, paste it — done.

## What is Home Assistant?

With it, you can create custom overview pages and automate workflows — for example: "If the fresh water tank is almost empty, send me a notification on my phone."

## What can the Revotion integration do?

The integration connects your Revotion system with Home Assistant. The best part: your Revotion devices can be combined with everything you already have in Home Assistant — control them together, group them, and link them in automations. For example, a motion sensor can turn on the awning light, or the heating can start when your solar system has enough surplus power.

Setup takes just a few minutes: copy the access from the Revotion app, paste it into Home Assistant — done. All your devices appear automatically.

### Keep an eye on

- Battery — charge level, voltage, current, remaining runtime, charge cycles
- Tank fill levels and temperatures
- Location of your vehicle or boat on the map

### Control

- Switch lights on and off
- Dim lights and change color
- Operate awnings, windows, and leveling jacks
- Control heating, air conditioning, and refrigerator via Connect

### Plus

- Alle Werte kommen in Echtzeit an

## Connected in four steps

### Step 1 — Install HACS

### Step 2 — Download the Revotion integration

1. Öffne **HACS** in Home Assistant.
4. Starte Home Assistant neu.

### Step 3 — Get access from the Revotion app

1. Open the Revotion app and tap **REMOTE** in the **System** section.
2. Under **Share remote access** you'll see your QR code — tap it to display it full-size.
3. Tap **Copy** below the QR code. The access is now in your clipboard.

**Note:** Via **Share** you can also send the access directly to another device or your service partner.

### Step 4 — Add integration to Home Assistant

1. Open Home Assistant and go to **Settings → Devices & Services**.
2. Click **Create Integration** and search for **Revotion**.
3. Paste the copied text into the input field and confirm.
4. Home Assistant shows you the found Brain with its name — confirm once more, done.

## Done

All your devices are now set up automatically. You'll find them under **Settings → Devices & Services → Revotion**.

## Renew access

Your access is valid for 180 days. 14 days before it expires, Home Assistant shows a notification. Once it expires, Home Assistant will ask for new access automatically.

1. Get the access again from the app — just like in Step 3.
2. Paste it into the login dialog in Home Assistant.

Devices, entities, and automations remain intact. You don't need to set anything up again.

## If something's not right

| Problem | Solution |
|---|---|
| Devices are "unavailable" | Check in the Revotion app whether the Brain is online. |
| Values don't update in real time | Download the diagnostic file and check the MQTT status in it. |
| Access expired | Follow the steps under "Renew access". |
| New NODE doesn't appear | Wait about 5 seconds after pairing and then check Home Assistant again. |

**Diagnostic file:** **Settings → Devices & Services → Revotion → Three-dot menu → Download diagnostics**. It contains MQTT status, access expiration date, all Brains and NODEs, firmware versions, and recent errors. Access credentials are obscured in it — you can safely send the file to support.

More chapters coming: examples and automations.
