# August 26 Update

With the August 26 Update, your Revotion system becomes more reliable in everyday use. Settings are preserved, updates run more smoothly, and your system supports more components around energy, battery, and vehicle.

## Component Versions in This Update

| Component | Version |
|---|---:|
| Revotion App | **1.2.11** |
| BRAIN | **2.3.3** |
| Connect NODE | **2.3.2** |
| Battery NODE | **2.3.0** |
| General NODE | **2.3.1** |

Components are not necessarily updated simultaneously. Which versions are available on your vehicle depends on the installed hardware and the respective update.

## New Integrations for Your Energy System

The Connect NODE expands support for Victron Energy components and CAN batteries. This allows more parts of the energy system to be monitored together on supported installations.

New additions include:

- Victron BMV battery monitors and SmartShunt
- Victron MPPT solar charge controllers
- Victron Orion XS DC-DC chargers
- Victron Phoenix inverters
- Victron Phoenix chargers
- CAN-bus lithium batteries via BMS-CAN

Depending on the installed components, this allows shunt, solar, DC-DC charger, inverter, and battery to be combined in one system. The CAN battery connection has been validated with SuperVolt V3 and Super-B Epsilon.

The Connect NODE now supports 15 approved device types. For the Phoenix inverter, On, Off, and Eco modes are available. The Phoenix charger provides data but is not controlled.

Which data and controls appear in your app depends on the installed component and the current app version.

## Settings That Stay

Some settings could previously appear to be saved in the app and later revert. This is now fixed. Settings on connected devices now stay where you set them.

The app and the control panels of connected devices also work better together. If you change something directly on the device, the app adopts the actual state. Conversely, it only shows changes once the device has actually confirmed them. Values no longer jump back to the old state briefly after a button press.

Set values also remain within the range that the connected device can actually implement. Timers and fan levels are displayed more clearly and reliably.

## Updates That Continue

Firmware updates resume where they left off after an interrupted connection. They do not restart from the beginning.

The BRAIN checks storage space and connection before an update, among other things. Devices that are in power-saving mode during an update are also handled more reliably.

Important safety functions remain active during updates on General, Connect, and Battery NODEs. This includes overcurrent and undervoltage protection.

## Better Overview of Your Battery

The charge level display for lithium batteries has been redesigned. The displayed percentage changes more evenly and better matches the actual state of the battery.

Runtime also responds faster to large loads. For example, if you switch on a heavy load, the calculation adjusts within a short time. Charging time also better accounts for the fact that some energy is lost during charging.

Energy meters and statistics remain more reliable over the long term. The Battery NODE saves its data before restarts and maintains two independent copies of its history.

On systems with multiple Battery NODEs, measured values from power-saving phases flow better into the combined display.

After the update, nothing new needs to be set up for the Battery NODE. Settings and existing statistics are preserved. The update applies to all hardware variants of the Battery NODE.

## Tank Gauge and Calibration

Fill level sensors can be calibrated more reliably. The stored values for "empty" and "full" are preserved, even with inverted tank senders.

Additionally, the app can display the actual calibration values recorded and the raw value of the sensor.

## Lighting

Light control responds more finely in the lower brightness range. Low values now dim more evenly instead of suddenly turning off or staying too bright.

You can now set a minimum and maximum range for light channels. For example, you can operate an LED strip above its flicker threshold or limit maximum brightness. The slider in the app continues to use the full range from 0 to 100 percent.

## External Switches

External switches behave more reliably after a restart. The actual switch position is adopted so that the switch and connected load do not work against each other.

## Tilt Angle

The app gets a new tilt angle widget for the home screen. It shows the longitudinal and lateral axes of your vehicle with the measured degree values and the respective direction. With stronger tilt, the display changes color and provides a clear indication.

Before first use, you select how the BRAIN is mounted in your vehicle. After that, you can calibrate the tilt directly in the app. The app displays the status and notifies you if the vehicle moves during calibration or if the process cannot be completed.

## More Stable App Connection

The Bluetooth connection has been made more robust, especially at the edge of range and when reconnecting. Particularly on iPhone and iPad, the connection should drop unexpectedly less often and reconnect automatically faster when coming back into range.

Commands from the app and their confirmation are transmitted more reliably, even when large amounts of data are being loaded.

WiFi can be turned on and off in the app without having to set up the network again. The online status responds faster when WiFi is turned off.

If the system detects that a WiFi connection is no longer working, the BRAIN can fall back to mobile data more effectively. Devices are also less likely to be incorrectly displayed as unreachable.

## Note about the update

When an update is offered to you in the Revotion app, you can install it as usual. You don't need to re-pair or re-enter your WiFi credentials for this.

If you have questions about the update or a feature, our support team is here to help.
